Controversy over flu vaccinations seems to be growing. A friend and fellow cancer patient, Beth, posted this on her blog today:
Duke sent a letter to its transplant patients, which came today. In
it, the Medical Director of the Stem Cell Transplant Program and the
Director of Transplant Infectious Diseases Service recommended both
H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccines. Not the live vaccine though! They
said to avoid the inhaled ones, and that our family members should
also not have the inhaled version.
This is my understanding as well.
