Brian Williams did a story on NBC Nightly News this evening about cancer rates in the United States. According to the National Cancer Institute Journal, cancer rates are down for the first time for lung, colon and prostate cancer in men. They are also down for breast and colon cancer in women. But rates of kidney cancer, melanoma and some types of lymphoma are up in both men and women. Survival rates are up for most cancers as well.
